P.S.

Thanks! to everyone who continues to be inspired by Paris' blog.
This has been a very hard month for me without my friend.
This blog will always be here for anyone who needs some help.

Puzzle Helper

Paris would love to sit by me and "help" me do jigsaw puzzles.

(Yippee I got all my photos on my new computer at last!)

2 weeks

This has been the longest two weeks of my life. I am still missing my Paris, but with the support of a great group of people, I am slowly beginning to heal.
Hug your dog and take every moment into memory. They are gone far too quickly.
Paris met the challenges of being a blind wonderdog with courage and he taught me to face what life throws at you one day at a time.
I still don't have my photos on my new computer, but I will be posting some more.
Thanks for staying tuned.

Paris

Thanks to everyone for being so kind. I will post some more photos I took of Paris as soon as I get my computer back.
I am leaving his blog online bcause many people told me how it has helped them.
This has been a terrible time for me.
I miss Paris and his little crooked smile so much.

I will never forget

I will never forget playing football with you. Throwing it down the hall and you sliding for it.
I will never forget the way you launched out the door to get the squirrels.
I will never forget all the "going bye bye in the car" rides.
I will never forget sitting in the chairs looking out the window with you.
I will never forget the courage you had when you faced blindness.
I will never forget the unconditional love you gave me.
I will never forget you Paris.

I am beyond grief.
I had Paris put to sleep this morning.
He had the worse night ever. I talked to him and promised I would never let him suffer like that.

I have a few more things to share in the days to come.
Thanks for being there for Paris and for me.

Changes

Paris has been having terrible nights, three in a row, so I called the vet and he said it may be Paris' time. He was not sleeping, gasping for air for 20 minutes at a time. He just laid on his circle bed the third day and didn't want to get up. It was horrible. I was finally prepared to help him out. I came home from work yesterday and there he was all wagging and kissing and even played with the squeaky sock! It's like he knew I talked to the doctor. He slept very well last night, only waking once with a short wheezing fit. I do hear some crackling in his lungs I never heard before and his breathing is more labored. I will keep a close watch on the old fella.
